We’re Driftbloom, a duo from North Texas founded by Isaiah and Chandler after branching off from past projects with friends.
We hit the ground running in June 2025, writing our first song together, “Let Go,” and building from there.
Our sound blends post-rock and alternative rock with ambient synths, metalcore guitars, soaring vocals, and dynamic drumming.
Pulling from those different influences has helped us shape a sound that feels distinctly our own without tying ourselves too closely to any one genre.
We kicked things off in November of 2025 with our debut album, "The Shape of Falling", followed by the "Left or Right" EP.
Now, with our second album deep in production, we have no plans of slowing down anytime soon.
Currently, we are also working toward merch and live shows around North Texas, so keep an eye on this site and our socials for everything coming next.
The Shape of Falling

The Shape of Falling wasn’t something we set out to make. There was no plan for an album, no track count to hit, and no larger release mapped out ahead of time.
We started with “Let Go" and kept writing because we loved what we were making.
One song became another, and the record took shape naturally from there.
Each track gave us room to pull from the different sounds that influence Driftbloom while still making something that felt like us.
By the time we stepped back and looked at what we had made, we weren’t deciding whether to make an album. We already had one.
The Shape of Falling is eight songs that came together for the simplest reason possible: we love making music.
It marks the beginning of Driftbloom, not as an experiment or a proof of concept, but as the first full statement of what we wanted this band to be.

Left or Right
the extended play
Left or Right came together almost immediately after The Shape of Falling.
We still had plenty of ideas left over from making the first record, and while our original plan was to move straight into album two,
we knew we didn’t want to force it. We wanted to give the next record the time it needed and let new ideas come naturally.
The problem was that we were far too excited about the first three songs to sit on them. So instead, they became Left or Right.
This EP also gave us the chance to approach Driftbloom from a slightly different angle.
We wanted to keep the atmosphere, melody, and energy that had become part of our sound while letting the instruments in front of us carry more of the weight.
Guitar, bass, drums, and vocals became the foundation, with synths, ambience,
and additional production used to expand the songs rather than build them from the ground up.
Working that way pushed us outside some of the habits we developed on The Shape of Falling,
but it quickly became one of the most exciting parts of writing the EP.
Having fewer layers to lean on made every part matter more, and once we found our footing,
it opened up even more ideas for where we could take the band next.
Left or Right is us taking Driftbloom more seriously without losing the reason we started doing this in the first place.
It’s energetic, fun, and still unmistakably us. Each song means something different to us,
but we’d rather leave enough room for listeners to find their own meaning in them too.
These songs will eventually become part of our second full-length record,
but Left or Right captures this particular point in Driftbloom on its own.

the second album
Our second album is currently in production, with a good portion of the record already taking shape.
After The Shape of Falling and Left or Right, we’re coming into this album with a much clearer idea of what Driftbloom is and where we want to
take it. We’re carrying forward the more organic, instrument-driven approach we explored on Left or Right,
while still leaving plenty of room for the ambient, electronic, and layered production that has always been part of our sound.
More than anything, we’re trying to let this record become what it needs to be.
We don’t want to rush songs just to finish an album, and we’re giving ourselves the freedom to follow
ideas when they feel right and leave them alone when they don’t.
What has stayed the same is the reason we started doing this in the first place.
We’re still making music we genuinely love, and the excitement we had when we wrote our first songs together hasn’t gone anywhere.
There’s still a lot we want to keep under wraps for now, including the album’s title and release plans,
but we’re incredibly proud of where it’s heading. Keep up with us here and on our socials as the record continues to come together.
